Breasts: An Explorative Exhibit
Oddwalk 2
My next show is tomorrow! The show actually got extended due to popularity. With this popularity, unfortunately, not all of my pieces were accepted. But I did get one piece in! Tickets will be sold at the door for $20 or presale for $10 through paypaling EJC artshows (see Facebook Event Page). I will only be attending on Saturday. Couldn't get out of work tomorrow, what can I say.
I went and checked the space out at Oddville Feb 11th for Jerico Woggon's Oddwalk during the DTLA Artwalk. The music was bumpin' and the art was exciting. I love figuring out how the artist put their work together, I feel like I'm always surprised by the answer. I'm excited to see what will happen at the next one.
My work at the OCCCA will be up until February 27th!
The show was so fun! I met Juan Gallardo and Boontarika, who are also artists (and who you should follow on IG @zubliminal, @organizedmesses). There is some brainstorming going on right now with them on a collective in the area. Which would be an immense relief to have help/support closer to home in regard to shows and things like that. It's always so exciting to meet other people serious about their passion and trying to progress in their career.
I finally got a chance to see Cybele Rowe and Kaye Freeman's Love Armada series! Cybele has been such an inspiration to me and always manages to put me back on top just being around her. I love her! Her piece was magnificent. I love the shape and the color, and I just wanted to touch it so bad!
I love the interactiveness of pieces. There were several bronze pieces by Ted Gall that were pretty exciting. I can't even begin to imagine what kind of patience that took. You can see it on my page.

Along with heading out to shows and being in them, I've been insanely busy with my full time school schedule. It is an intense amount of work but I'm having so much fun (be it overwhelming fun or just fun-fun) transitioning into this new phase of my life and seeing where it's taking me. Even though I'm at school I still get to see a lot of thought provoking pieces during class.
The best part for me is always being able to connect with other artists and talk about their work. I love hearing about where they came from, what their thought process is, what else they want to be doing. After truckin' through my life with scarce amounts of Creatives around, this is a lovely change of pace.
Can't wait to see you at the show on Saturday! <3
